Maurizio Parlato was the COO of Bugatti of the Americas. Maurizio Parlato was born on 01.08.1962 in Naples, Italy. He is married with two children. He is current residents of Washington DC.
Maurizio Parlato was very engaged during his studies.
In his high school years he was very involved and interested in classical studies. He studied Ancient Greek and Latin for 8 years and he passed multiple tests in writing and traducing classical tests from Greek and Latin into Italian.
He was also very passionate of Tennis and swimming and he achieved some remarkable results in junior competitions in these two sports between 10 and 15 years age.
After his Bachelor degree in Political Science, Maurizio Parlato spent one sabbatical year working for an Italian Travel Agency in the Far East and specifically in the Maldives Islands and Sri Lanka where he perfected his knowledge of the English language.
This experience was great for the future development of his career and personality because it convinced him of how important it was to travel, to be opened to different cultures and how important it was to learn more languages.
Right after he started working at Ferrari in Maranello. he decided that he needed to learn quickly at least other two languages and started private lessons of French and German. Ferrari decided to assign him the responsibility of the French speaking markets and in the first year of work at Ferrari in 1989 he spent his full 3 weeks’ vacation in France studying French.
The next year he dedicated his vacations to the German language and his efforts were rewarded when in 1995 after having taken care of European Markets and then Far East as Area Manager he was promoted to the position of Managing Director of the Ferrari Branch in Germany, where he spent 5 years of work with very good results.
His passion during his career has always been travelling and reading and in first 10 years of work he was visiting all the European countries and most of the Far Eastern Countries.
Before being assigned to his position in Germany, Maurizio was entering for Ferrari some new markets like China, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines and Taiwan.
Alongside with his career Maurizio Parlato has always kept a very close relation with his original family in Italy , His Mother , HIs father and His sister Anna Maria with her daughter and when he moved to the Us for work he decided to spend every summer vacation visiting them in Italy and he did it . Maurizio has always had the family and his Italian roots and culture as his primary values in life along with his career.
After 20 years at Ferrari he left the company in 2009 and he took one year sabbatical travelling in South America since he had decided to add two more languages to his personal culture.
He perfected than the knowledge of Spanish and Portuguese.
In 2011 he started working for Lotus Cars and in 2012 he moved to England for one year travelling though back and forward from the US.
In 2014 Bugatti gave him the chance to get back to the top of the luxury car market and he enjoyed so much travelling to France and Germany from the us.
One other passion that Maurizio Parlato has had in life is the love for the ocean. He took his professionalisms master diving licence in the Maldives while working there and then he has been diving in the most beautiful oceans of the world from Australia to the Caribbean, from the Red Sea to the Mediterranean.
